Last weekend we kick-started this year’s Blood Donation Drive which is taking place this summer across the UK.

The first group of volunteers from the Universal Church donated blood at Stratford and Shepherd’s Bush donation centres.

One of the greatest things about donating blood is the colossal impact it has on our community whilst requiring only a short amount of time. The initiative aims to raise awareness of the need to donate blood whilst encouraging individuals to participate.

This year we have named this initiative, “do it in 10” – which consists of groups of 10 people going together to donate blood, which takes only up to 10 minutes.

We believe this drive will not only benefit the patients who will receive the urgent treatment they need, but will also encourage those who are eligible to donate by joining this great cause!
