The Give Warmth Appeal is a charitable nationwide initiative carried out yearly by the Community Outreach arm of the Universal Church. This initiative has been established to positively impact the wider community of rough sleepers, patients in care homes/hospital, doctors and nurses. It is supported by well-meaning volunteers who passionately donate their time and skillset to make the holiday season a bit more bearable for those who are less fortunate.
Every year, thousands of people are reached by this initiative and this year we aim to give warmth to the following:
- Children and adults admitted to hospital
- Doctors and nurses who have dedicated their time to the patients
- Care home residents
- Those struggling to get through the cold winter months
We aim to prepare handwritten cards and/or hampers for the members of staff to show our appreciation for taking care of those in our community. We will donate brand new toys to give to the children on the ward showing that we care and they are not forgotten. Clothing accessories of blankets, gloves, hats and scarves will be donated to those who are rough sleepers.
If you would like to donate you can do so by visiting your local Universal Church.
